If you are looking for work, the SkillWise Employment Support team are here to help! We work with you to identify the job or role that you are looking for, we will then work with you to job search in the open labour market. The Employment Support Coordinators work to build strong relationships with employers, which helps create job opportunities for job seekers. Our team understands that finding work can be challenging, so we offer realistic advice and support. The team also offer a course for job seekers to support them to get job ready, helping to understand the expectations of working, creating a CV and practicing job interviews.
Here is how we will work with you in your job search:
Meeting and Learning: Upon engaging with our services, we meet individuals on our waitlist to understand your job interests and aspirations better, and where you are at in your job search and job readiness.
Supported Job Search: We assist in navigating the job market through various means, including internet searches, networking, and participation in job fairs and expos.
Application Assistance: Our team works alongside you to craft and submit job applications, ensuring your skills and strengths shine through.
Interview Preparation: We provide comprehensive support to prepare you for interviews, ensuring you feel confident and equipped.
Advocacy for Ordinary Life Outcomes: We advocate for individuals in our program to attain ordinary life outcomes, in the mainstream job market.
Liaison with Employers: SkillWise serves as a liaison between job seekers and employers, advocating for our candidates while fostering positive relationships with potential employers, while educating employers on how to create inclusive environments for their staff.
In Work Support:
Initial Job Support: We provide essential support during the transition into your new role, ensuring a smooth start.
Ongoing Job Support: Our commitment extends beyond placement. We offer ongoing support for up to 12 months following a successful placement, fostering a supportive environment both for you and your employer, whenever needed, to ensure long-term success in your role.
