 Covid-19 Update

Key Covid-19 Protocols at SkillWise:

Face masks

People are encouraged, but no longer required, to wear face masks at our Manchester St premises. We strongly recommend that those with vulnerable health continue to wear a mask at SkillWise.

There are some situations when masks will be required (we can provide masks if needed):

  • when people are using SkillWise vehicles or bussing with our support
  • any visitors onsite
  • if we identify someone as a SW close contact
  • if we have a Covid-19 outbreak at SkillWise.

Anyone with a mask exemption will not be expected to wear a mask in the above situations.

Close/Household contacts

If a person is identified as a SW close contact, this means they have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 at our premises. In this situation we will require that:

  • the person is symptom free to continue being supported
  • a negative RAT test is returned before being supported – we can provide RATs if required
  • the person must wear a mask when accessing SW support
  • the above requirements will apply for 5 days following exposure.

If someone in your home tests positive for Covid-19, you are considered a household contact – please tell us if this is the case. In this situation we will require that you:

  • take a break from SkillWise support for 5 days
  • have no symptoms & produce a negative RAT test before returning to SkillWise support.

Health & Wellbeing assessments

We will continue to have SkillWise staff on carpark duty from 8.45 – 9.15am. This is the time for people to arrive in the morning – please do not arrive earlier. The SkillWise staff member will be checking people for cold & flu symptoms. If a person has cold & flu symptoms, they will be asked to leave. Please, if you are sick, stay home.
